Adventure may hurt you but monotony will kill you …

So I’ve arrived … It’s 55 degrees inland and its fair to say I’m melting. After a lovely falafel salad and an even lovelier nights sleep, I meet the other yoga teacher for breakfast and lug my backpack up the steepest cobbled street known to mankind and into my apartment … This is to be my home for the next 6 months. The accommodation is simple but authentically Moroccan with gorgeous tiled floors and an abundance of cushions and rugs. I think I’m going to like it here. After unpacking I attend the sunset yoga class ill be teaching tomorrow … It’s 6pm and roasting, now this REAL hot yoga! Sun sal A turns my mat into a puddle of sweat and by the time we get to the standing sequence it’s all I can do to stop my feet sliding out into box splits :/ note to self: do not try to be a hero and get a tan whilst practicing yoga here … get a spot in the shade or risk looking like an oversized pink salmon out of water.

Day one ended with a lovely dinner of red curry and yoghurt before we made our way to the roof terrace to look out for shooting stars – and yes … I did see one 🙂
